About The Band

Cassie Rose & The Sol Garden are an exciting, eclectic & energetic 6 piece Soul/R&B/Blues band, with one foot based in Northern NSW & the other on the Mid North Coast of NSW. Formed in 2019, the Band is led by Vocalist, Cassie Rose & Guitarist, Alex McLeod.

Their debut Album 'ON THE WIND’, released in April 2024, is a melting pot of songs full of groove, soul, honesty & life. Drawing on their varying musical & life influences, with Cassie & Alex in the Songwriting driving seat. Together these two are a force to be reckoned with! The Album has been well received & various tracks have been featured on National & International radio.

Cassie & Alex have toured together & separately, Nationally & Internationally. Alex playing with such artists as Pete Murray, Cass Eager, Kyle Lionhart, Blake O’Conner & doing support shows for bands such as Cog with his surf rock band ‘The Sea Benz’. 

Cassie has released 2 solo records, ‘Destiny’ (2014) & ‘Memories Of The Past’ (2019) & opened Shows for Lior, James Blundell, The Angels. As well as, toured Nationally with artists such as Rebecca Ireland & Andy Jans-Brown. 

The Group’s live show takes you on a journey through musical peaks & valleys. From Uptempo Gospel feels to Funk Grooves, Soul Ballads & Booty Shaking Boogies. Cassie’s vocal style reminiscent of Bonnie Raitt, Eva Cassidy & a hint of Susan Tedeschi, whilst still sounding uniquely her. The band’s abilities to improvise sections on-stage and give listeners a unique experience is a notable trademark of their sound. 

Mike Mills’ groovy bass lines have featured on stage with Alex Lloyd, The Sea Benz, Cass Eager & more. Dan Brown has played keys for Artists such as Aurora Jane, Shelly Brown, Red Bantoo, Pete Murray & Cass Eager. Ben Cox has laid it down smooth on the drums for Toni Childs, Marshall Okell, Dan Hannaford & many other artists. This rhythm section is burning hot! Topped off with Alex’s sizzling guitar & a dash of smooth soulful melody & harmony from Cassie Rose & Amie Stuart… it is the perfect mix!

The band consists of musicians Cassie Rose (lead vocals & songwriter), Alex McLeod (guitars & songwriter), Amie Stuart (backing vocals), Dan Brown (keys & vibes), Mike Mills (bass), Ben Cox (drums).
